What are We working on in Q2 of 2021?

The iDoRecall Webclipper

The next platform that we’ll be conquering is the Web. You can already paste any public web URL into the input in the LIBRARY and receive a clean-copy PDF of that web page in your account.

Now, we’re developing the iDR Chrome extension. Using the iDoRecall Webclipper, you can visit any public-facing web page and click to add a clean-copy PDF to your library. You can also create a recall directly on that web page and send it to your recalls list.

Simultaneously, we are working to enable you to import your kindle highlights into iDR and transform them into linked recalls. When you practice those recalls, if you struggle with the answer, you are one-click away from seeing the original source where your first learned the nugget.

After we deliver these two integrations, we have our eyes set on a host of other platforms and apps we’ll conquer. These include Goodreads, Pocket, Apple Books, Medium, Zotero, Mendeley and Roam Research. Please ping us with your requests for integrations.

Redaction Recalls

The other big project that we’re working on right now is what we call Redaction Recalls. In Anki, these are two individual solutions that they call cloze flashcards and image occlusion flashcards. We’ve reimagined these solutions as a single tool for creating recalls where you can redact text, whether it is a pure text string or an image with text labels.
